1. General and Membership Updates:

   • The next ACEN AGM is proposed for 15 May 2025. A formal invitation will follow in early 2025.
   • ACEN has conducted four council meetings to date, with two more scheduled for the remainder of 2024.
   • Membership fees collected for 2024/2025 totaled N$ 692,583.19.

2. New Members:

   • Newly joined firms: Ohangwena CE, SCC CE, and Dream Engineering (pending approval).
   • No membership terminations reported.

3. Internship Incentive Program:

   • Seven firms participated, with a total of N$ 15,041.75 reimbursed.
   • Firms are encouraged to take advantage of this program to support young engineers.

4. Engineering Salary Survey:

   • The survey, conducted by Willis Towers Watson (WTW), is nearing completion, with results expected by the end of 2024.
   • Participating firms will receive the published findings.

5. Young Consulting Engineers of Namibia (YCEN):

   • YCEN has been reinstated and aims to engage young professionals (35 years or younger) employed by ACEN member firms.
   • Leadership training is scheduled for 31 October–1 November 2024 at Rock Lodge.

6. Strategic Plan Progress:

   • Key goals include enhancing member firms' visibility, promoting professionalism and integrity, and building influence in national and international affairs.
   • Efforts to upgrade the ACEN website and update the ACEN Constitution are ongoing.

7. Updated Documentation:

   • The Annexure C Fee Scale documents for Engineers and Project Managers, the Disbursement Schedule, and Constant A variable updates were shared with members.
   • Directive updates for government work disbursements were also sent out.

8. New ACEN Website:

   • A modern, user-friendly website with enhanced functionality is under development.
   • Features include member microsites, online payment options for membership fees, and streamlined information updates for firms.
   • Members will be able to update logos, office information, and employee data via the platform.

9. Social Media and Marketing:

   • Members are encouraged to share news, job openings, and project updates for publication on ACEN’s Facebook and LinkedIn pages.
   • Links to ACEN’s platforms were provided to enhance member engagement and visibility.
