Standardized Fee Claim Template:
A uniform Fee Claim Template will be introduced to ensure consistency and uniformity across the consulting engineering industry. -
FIDIC Africa Membership:
ACEN joined FIDIC Africa to strengthen recognition for consulting engineering associations and companies, advocating for their value in infrastructure development at regional and international levels. -
Internship Incentive Initiative:
Member firms are incentivized to appoint interns, with reimbursements based on professional staff costs. Firms must submit internship reports detailing work performed, duration, and outcomes. -
Website and Facebook Page:
The ACEN website continues to be updated and operates without issues. ACEN launched a Facebook page to facilitate interactive communication and increase member firm visibility on social media. -
Annual Declarations:
Members were reminded to submit their 2021/2022 Annual Declarations by February 10, 2021. Late submissions will incur a 10% increase on total staff numbers as per the previous declaration. -
Membership Fees:
Membership invoices for the 2021/2022 book year will be issued in March 2021, following council approval of budget-related fee increases. -
Request for Legal Opinions:
ACEN is contributing to obtaining legal opinions on misconstrued regulations by the Department of Works (DoW). Two key issues include the responsibility for brickwork design and documentation and clarifications on travel time charges.
